Little bird upon the tree
Looking in the window
Grandmother Great was resting
Her birthday at 100

You've waited patiently my friend
The signal to Grandmother
A cardinal seen in her path
​She said meant she'd see her lover
 
​This saying from a former day
Of the early 1900’s
Bringing comfort to a family still
In the passing of Grandmother

​God knows our hearts and what we need
He is so very kind
To give us hope in a simple way
Quieting our minds

Eternal life is possible for each of us when we choose Jesus Christ. 
None of us are perfect -- far from it! We have all sinned and can never be good enough or do good enough on our own.

It is only through the sacrifice of Jesus that we can enter in to Heaven. God sent His Son Jesus to us as a free gift .

Joined on the branch outside the room
Visible through the window
Red cardinal joined by female brown
Arose and flew together.

We do not place our faith in birds
But in the One true God
Who leads us through our griefs and joys
With a Holy Spirit song.

We thank You for the stories
That sustain memories before the grave
And promises of life beyond
because Jesus came.

Abba my Father, Lord and God
We bless Your Holy names
For the gift of life eternally
You’ve given us in Jesus’ name.
