LOVE |
Love was the first of the two mandates God gave us for this ministry.
The second was praise. Placing love as the first was a very intentional choice. The Word of God, the Bible, says that God wants us to keep Him as our “first love”, our priority. 1, 2 Matthew 22:37-39 3 also tells us that the first and greatest of the Ten Commandments is to love God with all our hearts – and the second greatest is to love our neighbor as ourselves. Love heals, soothes, binds through difficult seasons, sacrifices for the greater good of those who are loved, and accomplishes so many good things for God is love. 4 We invite you to dig deep into God’s Word and encourage you to explore a personal relationship with Him.
It is our desire to feed those interested in accompanying us on this journey to know God better with examples, stories and insights of ways love and praise have enriched many lives. This website is prepared to shine light on these qualities exhibited through Jesus Christ to help offer an eternal, Kingdom perspective. 1 Corinthians 16:14 5 King James Version says we are to do all things with charity which is listed as love in some newer translations. The classic love chapter of the Bible, 1 Corinthians 13, 6 reminds us that love is the greatest gift. It is not proud, rude or boastful, but rather is kind, truthful, long suffering, patient, and endures all things. The chapter ends with a declaration that faith, hope and charity (love) all abide but the greatest of these is charity or love. And so we began this ministry with love as the first anchor followed by praise as we proclaim our adoration for the Creator of the Universe. May our great God be exalted forever. Oh, how He loves us. 7 From the heart with all praise to the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, Donna Turpin In Christ Alone Copyright © 2016-2017 Prepare Ye the Way with Love and Praise Ministries NFP or Prepare Love Praise (R) Ministries NFP. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him. 5 Ibid, 1 Corinthians 16, v. 14. http://bit.ly/1Ucn3UF 14 Let all your things be done with charity. 6 Ibid, 1 Corinthians 13, v. 1-13. http://bit.ly/220Ne3q Note: charity in KJV is translated love in many other versions. 1 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. 2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing. 3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing. 4 Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, 5 Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; 6 Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; 7 Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. 8 Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away. 9 For we know in part, and we prophesy in part. 10 But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away. 11 When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things. 12 For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known. 13 And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity. 7 David Crowder Band, Church Music, How He Loves Us lyrics, 2009, http://bit.ly/1W7is5i (Originally written by John Mark McMillan) Check back often to see the updates on our Blog and Teachings Page!
